Jharkhand allots Rs 50 bn for road projects

State Highways Authority of Jharkhand will build about 1,000 km stretch of new roads and would strengthen 5,000 km in the next couple of years. Jharkhand government said it would invest Rs 5,000 crore over the next couple of years on road projects.

This will be apart from 300 km-stretch of roads, which have been transferred to the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) to undertake strengthening and widening work by the centre.
