The Union Ministry of Forests and Environment granted the environment clearance for the Kannur airport project in Kerala. It will become the fourth international airport of the state, when it comes into operation. With this, the process of awarding the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for the airport will now get expedited. The central Ministry’s clearance was key to the project.
