Kirby organises seminar

Kirby India recently organised an interactive technical seminar at Hyderabad focusing on the Indian IS 800:2007 design codes. Chaired by SR Satish Kumar, professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Chennai and a member of the standing committee of advisors for the code, the seminar was attended by the entire structural design team from Kirby India. The topics discussed included stringent provisions in design and detailing, particularly with respect to earthquake code which is mandatory for both seismic and non-seismic zones, increase in weight of frames and bracing, and the correct interpretation of intricate clauses in the code.
