The unit-11 of Kothagudem Thermal Power Project started commercial production. With this 500 MW unit, the thermal power capacity of APGENCO has crossed 5,000 MW. The unit generates 36.9 mu during the day. As part of its expansion plan, the thermal power project has taken up the 500 MW Kothagudem Thermal Power Project stage VI in Khammam district at a cost of Rs 2,325 crore.
