In Mangalore, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has decided to collect user fee on the 18.60 km National Highway Road from the city to BC Road from December 5 midnight. With this, travel for Mangalore commuters on BC Road is to become more costly.
Barring two-wheelers, buses and own vehicles will have to pay the toll. While it is Rs 20 for four-wheelers for single journey, it will be Rs 60 for buses. For the return journey within a day, it will be Rs 25 for four-wheelers, barring light commercial vehicles, and Rs 90 for buses.
