State-run NHPC´s 160 MW Teesta Low Dam IV hydro project in Darjeeling has become fully operational. The 40 MW Unit-4 of the project has become commercially operational. Three units of the TLDP-IV project were commissioned on February 14, March 31 and July 1 this year. ´Consequent upon successful trial run of Unit-4 of Teesta Low Dam Hydro Electric Project, Stage IV at its installed capacity of 40 MW for continuous 20.08 hours on August 15, Unit-4 is hereby declared under commercial operation with effect from August 19,´ NHPC said.
