Paradip Port observes Port Day

The Paradip Port Trust (PPT) observed the Port Day on November 17. The Port Chairman SS Mishra participated as the chief guest, unfurled the Paradip Port flag and handed over the sacred Kalas to the Sadhavas who set sail on board a traditionally decorated boat.

Paradip Port proved to the world that Paradipians are capable of producing wonders. The port has witnessed 30 per cent growth in cargo handling during this year compared to the same period of last year, said Mishra.

The PPT achieved the number two position in cargo handling. It achieved 106 mt of capacity, which is the highest among all the Major Ports of India, Mishra said.
