Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has asked Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) officials to revise the detailed project report (DPR) of the four upcoming Metro corridors in Mumbai, said UPS Madan, Metropolitan Commissioner.
Fadnavis met DMRC officials to take stock of the Andheri (E)-Dahisar (E), Andheri (W)-Dahisar (W), Bandra-Mankhurd and Wadala-Ghatkopar-Thane Metro corridors.
MMRDA has also decided to carry out work on Metro-II and Metro-IV corridors in three phases. This means, work will first begin on the Andheri (W)-Dahisar (W) stretch and then the Bandra-Mankhurd stretch.
The decision to build elevated Metro-II and Metro-IV corridors was taken after it was found that these were faster and easier to construct.
