Siemens has received an order from National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) for the renovation and modernisation of its Korba Stage-II (3X500 MW) plant in Chhattisgarh. Siemens engineers will replace the existing system with the fourth-generation distributed control system – SPPA-T3000 (Siemens Power and Process Automation) for the entire plant, including its boiler and turbine control systems.
