The work on the Smart Industrial Port City project has started within the premises of the Paradip Port in Odisha. A string of projects valued at Rs 35.4 billion across 700 acre of land will be developed within the premises of the Paradip Port Trust (PPT). To increase its capacity from the existing 277 million tonne per annum (MTPA) to 325 MTPA by 2025, the port has taken up a host of projects. The various projects proposed include multi-modal logistics park (MMLP) committed by Container Corp of India (Concor), a four MTPA pelletisation unit by Thriveni Earthmovers, a wood park and a dedicated food park for edible oils.
