UP’s 2nd budget of Rs 3,619 cr to fund infra projects
To fund infrastructure projects in the state like Lucknow Metro, Agra-Lucknow Expressway and rural electrification, the Uttar Pradesh government on December 10 tabled the current year's second supplementary budget of Rs 3,619.76 crore. In last September, the State government had tabled the first supplementary budget worth Rs 7,112.39 crore.
Malaysian CIDB interested to build Agra-Lucknow highway
To build the proposed Agra-Lucknow expressway, a Malaysian firm has come forward. The proposed expressway is expected to reduce travel time between the two cities by almost half. A delegation from MalaysiaÂ’s Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) met Uttar Pradesh government officials last week and expressed their interest in the multi-million-dollar project, an official said.
Consultant selected for Agra-Lucknow E’way
For the proposed Agra-Lucknow expressway Uttar Pradesh government on January 3 selected a consortium of feedback infrastructure services and Redecon India as the project development consultant. The project is estimated to cost Rs 10,500 crore. The selection was finalised in a meeting chaired by the State Infrastructure & Industrial Development Commissioner (IIDC) Anil K Gupta.
