Solar tender and auction activity in India had a steep decline in November 2017. The solar capacity tendered across the country during the month fell by 25 percent to 300 MW compared to the October 2017 total and the amount of solar auctioned dropped by 98 percent to just 5 MW.

Vuda gets Rs 24.82 cr via auction of 63 plots
Through an auction of 63 plots, the Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (Vuda) has got a Rs 24.82 crore. The two-day auction of the plots in Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram districts concluded in Visakhapatnam on October 18.
Govt may sell six shale gas blocks soon
The Union government may auction six shale gas blocks, with estimated reserves of over 50 billion cubic metres, this year. When it happens it will become India's first auction of exploratory blocks for this fuel. Of the six blocks, two most prolific blocks are in the Ranigunj coalfields of the Damodar basin in West Bengal. The others are in Jharia, also in the Damodar basin, and in the Cauvery basin in the south India.
FIIs buy govt stake in state-run firms
