NHAI working on widening NH-21
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the four laning of Pandoh Bypass to Takoli' section of National Highway (NH)-21 in Himachal Pradesh. This is a sub project of the National Highways Authority of IndiaÂ’s larger project for four laning of NH-21 from Kiratpur in Punjab to Manali in Himachal Pradesh.
Coal Ministry to move Cabinet for fuel linkages to power sector
The Coal Ministry will soon seek Cabinet approval for the auction of coal linkages for the power sector.
“It is broadly finalised. We will take it to the Cabinet soon,” said Coal and Power Minister Piyush Goyal. “We will soon go for inter-ministerial consultations. The whole process has been finalised.”

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given its approval for revised cost estimate amounting to Rs.2774 crore with Railway share as Rs.1247 crore and Ministry of Road Transport and Highways share as Rs.1527 crore for construction of Rail-cum-Road Bridge across River Ganga (14 kms) at Munger with a provision that the cost of land for road approaches may increase in future.

The government could soon give the go-ahead to excluding the cost of land while computing the total cost of infrastructure projects, a measure that will allow more ministries to clear their own projects without going through the time-consuming process of seeking the approval of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs.
