CNGs uniform price
The Union Government is to come out with a uniform Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) pricing across the country. The Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas is set to come up with a proposal in this regard, said a senior official concerned. The Ministry's plan is to pool in domestic and imported gas used by CNG networks across the country. The ministry is expected to finalise a mechanism for this within the next two months.

Pune, PC area to get 15 new CNG outlets from MNGL
The Maharashtra Natural Gas (MNGL) has decided to open 15 new outlets in Pune and Pimpri-Chinhwad (PC) areas by the end of this year to cater to the increasing demand of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). As of now, there are 23 CNG outlets which cater to over 30,000 three-wheelers, 14,000 four-wheelers and 517 buses of Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal (PMPML). MNGL officials feel that these new outlets will curb the long waiting hours of vehicles at CNG stations.
BMTC to run fleet on CNG once GAIL project takes off

Indraprastha Gas (IGL) raised the retail price of PNG (piped natural gas) and the compressed natural gas (CNG) owing to the recent steep appreciation of the dollar vis-a-vis rupee. Maharashtra Natural Gas (MNGL) has identified locations for setting up 20 additional CNG pumps across Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad in order to meet the rising demand for CNG.
