To expand its oil and gas production in India Cairn India will invest $3 billion (over 16,000 crore) in the next three years. Of this, more than 80 per cent (over Rs 12,800 crore) of the total capex will be invested on Cairn's prolific Barmer oil block in Rajasthan, the company's CEO P Elango said, adding that entire capex will be met through internal resources only.

AAI may form JV firm for aviation fuel handling
For aviation fuel handling in India, in the wake of governmentÂ’s decision to allow direct import of aviation fuel by Indian carriers, Airports Authority of India (AAI) will explore setting up of a Joint Venture (JV) company. Apart from AAI, stakeholders in the proposed JV company will be the three public sector oil companies, private oil companies like Reliance Industries, Essar Oil, and airline companies in the country.
AAI to convert terminals in 24 airports into cargo ones
In India's 24 airports, redundant passenger terminals will be converted into cargo terminals by the Airports Authority of India. Inaugurating the air cargo complex at the Mangalore airport last week, the Union Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh said AAI has 24 airports in the country that will be used for domestic cargo operations.
