Cabinet nod for Sagarmala project
The Government gave ´in principle´nod to Sagarmala project, which is aimed at port-led development in coastal states. ´The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, gave its ´in-principle´approval for the concept and institutional framework of Sagarmala Project,´ an official statement said.
SPVs for each smart city
A Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) will be created for each smart city, Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said. Infrastructure deficit will be bridged by retrofitting of identified areas of a city and re-development of areas which are not amenable to retrofitting, a statement from the Ministry said.
Committee to Review PPP cell in Rlys
The Ministry of Railways has decided to constitute a Committee headed by Ajay Shankar, IAS (Retd.), former Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (Govt. of India) to review the existing Public Private Partnership (PPP) Cell in the Railway Board.
