To improve road connectivity in Arunachal Pradesh, the Union government has approved a network of roads and bridges at a cost of Rs 819 crore. The Union Rural Development Ministry's decision in this regard comes just ahead of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's visit to Beijing and it emphasises the strategic importance of the bordering state over parts of which China lays claim.

Moily says India to save $8.5 bn via Iran oil imports
By increasing crude oil imports from Iran, India plans to save over $ 8.5 billion in foreign exchange this fiscal, said the Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Marpadi Veerappa Moily.
