RFQ for Mopa airport finalised
The request for quotation (RFQ) for the proposed international airport in North Goa´s Mopa village has been finalised by a steering committee led by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.
Goa policy for more investment in aviation
The investment policy of the Goa government plans to reap maximum benefits from the proposed greenfield airport at Mopa plateau, 40 km from Panaji, the State's capital. A draft investment policy floated by a specially appointed task force appointed by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar advocates attracting investment in aviation and aerospace sectors. KPMG works on revenue model for Mopa airport
Reports indicate that KPMG, the financial consultant for the proposed international airport at Mopa in Goa, is working on the revenue model for the airport. The state government plans to implement the project on the public-private-partnership (PPP) model and it set up a special PPP cell for the purpose of handing such PPP projects
Goa to invite global tenders for new airport in March
A global tender is going to be invited by the Goa Government for its new airport project at Mopa in the northern part of the state. The State Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar said that the new airport will be developed on a public private partnership basis.
Protest against Mopa airport
A farmers’ committee fighting against the proposed greenfield airport at Mopa village in north Goa said that about 15,000 people would be affected by the project.
