OMCs to share aviation fuel facilities with Pvt firms
In what could open the aviation turbine fuel (ATF) market for private companies, the State-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) have agreed, in-principle, to share their storage facilities to feed Asia's largest terminal at New Delhi. The decision was taken during a meeting between aviation and petroleum ministries last week, a senior government official said. With this move, private ATF sellers will get overnight access to assets created by government firms, said a senior executive with an OMC.
Gujarat seeks more central aid for renewable projects
To promote renewable energy projects further in the state, Gujarat government has demanded more Central assistance and incentive through policy changes. The State government is heavily focusing on the solar and other renewable energy power generation. The request to the Union government was made at the Power Minister's Conference held at New Delhi on February 5.
Punjab appoints consultant for Nawanshahr road project
The Public Works Department (PWD) of Punjab has appointed Consulting Engineering Services (CES), New Delhi to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) of proposed four-laning of 82 km Ropar-Nawanshahr-Phagwara, which will submit its report in two months to the department.
