The Noida Authority has started working on several projects that they hope will give a boost to infrastructure in newly-developed sectors along the Noida-Greater Noida expressway. This includes connecting Faridabad and Greater Noida. It has also reviewed all projects along the expressway.

Elevated ring road on fast track
The Noida Authority has invited a request for proposal from consultants to prepare a detailed project report for the Delhi-Noida elevated ring road project.

Design okayed for signal-free ride on Noida road
To ensure signal-free ride on Noida city's 4.8 km-long elevated road, the Noida Authority has approved the design, Master Plan Road-II. The elevated road is one of the city's busiest road. Thousands of commuters on the elevated road are expected to benefit from implementation of the Plan, especially those in Sectors-30, 27, 26, 25, 31, 33, 23, 52, 58 and 61. Commuters now face long snarls, especially during peak hours.

Underpass planned at Rs 115 cr at IIT-Delhi on NH 24
To ease traffic on the busy NH 24, the Noida Authority has sent an estimate of Rs 115 crore for a proposed underpass at the crossroads of the highway to IIT-Delhi. Noida Authority has sent an estimate of Rs 115 crore for the planned underpass. Tender proceeding for the underpass will be initiated once the approval from IIT-Delhi come through and the Authority is expecting the approval by September 15.

ITS expected to make Noida-Greater Noida E’way safer
To monitor and manage traffic flow on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, the Noida Authority is stepping up efforts to set up the Rs 15 crore Intelligent Transport System (ITS). Even as the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the project has been prepared by the consultants, tenders are expected to be floated and finalised in this May.

Noida Authority opens 1st bridge to tide over traffic chaos
Noida Authority has wrapped up the widening work of the first of the five bridges on Shahdara drain between Film City and Mahamaya Flyover. On April 22 one of the carriageways of the bridge was opened to traffic. With this its a relief to thousands of commuters who travel to Noida-GreaterNoida from the DND Flyway and from east Delhi.

Shahdara bridge opening by April 30: Noida Authority
The Noida Authority has announced that the widening of the first of five bridges on Shahdara drain between Film City and Mahamaya Flyover will finally be over by April 30. The project has missed several deadlines in the past. The Authority is working round the clock to ensure that work ends ahead of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's scheduled visit to the Expo Centre in Greater Noida in the first week of May for the annual Asian Development Bank summit.

2 underpasses on Noida Extn route
