Design okayed for signal-free ride on Noida road

To ensure signal-free ride on Noida city’s 4.8 km-long elevated road, the Noida Authority has approved the design, Master Plan Road-II. The elevated road is one of the city’s busiest road. Thousands of commuters on the elevated road are expected to benefit from implementation of the Plan, especially those in Sectors-30, 27, 26, 25, 31, 33, 23, 52, 58 and 61. Commuters now face long snarls, especially during peak hours.

When the elevated stretch becomes signal-free, it will benefit thousands of people commuting between Ghaziabad, Hapur and south Delhi via the DND or Kalindi Kunj road.

Residents living in Sectors 30, 27, 26, 25, 31, 33, 23, 52, 58 and 61, among others, will benefit the most from the Plan. This six-lane 10.5 m-wide elevated road will begin from Vishwa Bharti Public School in Sector 28 and end at Flex Crossing near the Sector 61/58 roundabout. The budget of this project is Rs 500 crore. The elevated road will help commuters skip seven traffic signals, say the media reports.
