GE Shipping fleet to get two more dry bulk carriers
Great Eastern Shipping on July 25 said it has placed orders with a Japanese company for building two dry bulk carriers. GE Shipping has placed an order for two new Kamsarmax dry bulk carries with Tsuneishi Shipbuilding company, Japan, the country's largest private sector shipping firm said in a statement. These vessels will be built at the Yard's facility in Philippines, it said, without giving financial details
GMR competes for Filipino airport project
In the Philippines, India's GMR Infrastructure company is learnt to have filed qualification documents for a formal bid to develop 17.5-billion peso ($425 million) Mactan-Cebu International Airport project. The documents have been filed by GMR in a consortium with local Megawide Construction.
Megawide, GMR may bid for Philippines airport project
For development of Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) in Philippines, a southeast Asian country, Megawide Construction Corp has reached an understanding with Indian infrastructure developer GMR Group. According to a recent filing by Megawide with the Philippines Stock Exchange, the tie-up between both the companies will come through only when the airport contract is awarded to them.
