Foraying into thermal power segment, state-run THDC India will float Rs 80 billion tender for its 1,320 MW coal-based Khurja project, which entails an investment of Rs 126 billion. "We will soon issue notice inviting tender for main plant package worth around Rs 80 billion for 2X660 MW capacity," Vijay Goel, Director, THDC India, said. While the first unit is scheduled to be commissioned in November 2022, the second unit would go on steam by April 2023.
