Orders from CONCOR for 25 reach stackers and from the Indian Army and Air Force for nearly 170 mission‑critical cranes highlight TIL’s dual‑sector momentum.
TIL Ltd, a leading Indian manufacturer of material handling and infrastructure equipment, has secured major contracts worth over ₹2 billion from the Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) and the Indian armed forces, reinforcing its role as a critical supplier to both commercial logistics and defence sectors.
The Kolkata-headquartered company has received a ₹667.5 million order from CONCOR for the design, manufacture, supply, and commissioning of 25 loaded reach stackers. These specialised machines will be delivered within 330 days and are expected to strengthen CONCOR’s intermodal logistics capabilities across India’s expanding container freight network.
In parallel, TIL has won substantial orders from the Indian Army and Indian Air Force for nearly 170 specially designed cranes engineered for mission‑critical military applications. The combined defence order is valued at around ₹1.1 billion.
These bespoke systems have been developed to operate in extreme conditions across varied terrains and operational scenarios, meeting the stringent standards of India’s defence establishment. The orders underscore the strategic importance of the newly launched TIL Defence-Strategic Business Unit (SBU), which focuses on military‑grade engineering solutions.
“These orders validate our dual capability to serve both India’s commercial infrastructure expansion and critical defence requirements with equal engineering excellence,” said Alok Kumar Tripathi, President, TIL Ltd. “The diverse order portfolio reflects the strategic advantages of our integrated business model and positions us strongly for sustained growth across multiple sectors.”
The military cranes will join TIL’s existing fleet of over 3,000 machines operating across India, supported by a comprehensive aftermarket network serving more than 200 customers nationwide. All orders will be executed at TIL’s state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facilities in Eastern India.
The company reported ₹3.43 billion in revenue for FY25. The strong order intake provides execution visibility and affirms the strategic direction of the defence vertical established under Gainwell Group ownership since January 2024.
