Nitin Chalke is the Managing Director of Eaton in India, a $22 billion global power management company. In his current role Chalke is responsible for working with Eaton´s five businesses to develop strategies that will build Eaton´s overall presence and success in India.
Prior to this, Chalke was Managing Director, India and South East Asia – Hydraulics Group, Eaton. He was responsible for managing Eaton´s overall hydraulics business in India and South East Asia.
He was also responsible for sales, operations, strategic plans, growth initiatives and supply chain functions. Prior to joining Eaton, Chalke was Director of Field Operations at Schindler Group for its elevator and escalator division. In that role, he had also led its sales and new installation divisions in India. He began his career with Ingersoll Rand India Ltd, as a sales engineer. Through his career, Chalke has held various leadership roles across organisations in production, operations, sales and marketing. Chalke holds a bachelor´s degree in mechanical engineering from Mumbai University, and a master´s degree in marketing management from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management in Mumbai.
