The West Bengal Green Energy Development Corporation (WBGEDC) along with a private partner will execute a central project to supply power to 41 villages in the Sunderbans on a public-private partnership basis. Expressions of interest were invited from private firms interested in working on the project. A total of 10 MW power capacity will be set up.
