NTPC will float tenders worth Rs 17,000 crore this month-end for sourcing super-critical equipment. The government had approved NTPC’s proposal to float a global tender on 30 December 2010. NTPC wants to secure nine supercritical boilers and nine turbine and generator sets of 800 MW capacity each for power projects at Lara (Chhattisgarh), Kudgi (Karnataka), Darllipalli and Gajamara (Orissa).
