Minister C P Joshi recently said that three pilot projects would be bid for through e-tendering: the Vijayawada-Machlipattanam and Patna-Buxar stretches of NHs (on BOT) and the third one would be an operational maintenance and tolling (OMT) covering Siliguri-Goyakota-Purnea. Greater transparency and accountability will ensue when e-tenders become more widespread.
