Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals (MRPL) hopes to start the single point mooring (SPM) system within the New Mangalore Port (NMP) limits by May 2012. UK Basu, Managing Director, MRPL, while confirming that all the execution orders for the SPM were in place, said work on the project would commence in November. Basu said that the job would be completed and the commissioÃÂning done as per the board approved date of May 2012.
