NTPC commissioned the 500 mw fifth unit of Rihand thermal power project in Uttar Pradesh and with this the company’s installed capacity has risen to 38,014 mw. Of the total capacity, 15 are coal based, seven gas-based power stations and seven joint venture or subsidiary power projects located across India.
