Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) is to build Rs 1,800 crore new liquid terminal through public-private-partnership route. The Port Trust has finalised plans to build the terminal having a capacity of 15 million tonne per annum. The planned new terminal will have a liquid jetty and a tank farm spread over 70 hectare. The required land has already been acquired, thereby ruling out the possibility of any issues with land acquisition, according to the Port Trust. The request for qualification document will be floated soon.
