Power, coal and renewable energy minister Piyush Goyal is hopeful of the Indian power sector getting significant investments from global investors at the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos. ´Earlier investors had lost interest in the Indian power sector but not anymore,´ he said. ´In the upcoming World Economic Forum at Davos, I am sure that global sovereign funds, hedge funds and other large global investors will be keen to invest in the sector and I am confident that we will garner multi-billion dollar investments as I am already flooded with investment proposals. Investors have regained confidence after seeing the work we are doing in an extremely deadline-oriented fashion,´he said.
