The programme simplifies every stage of travel at India’s busiest airport, with tailored services for families that enhance the overall passenger experience.

In a first for a major Indian airport, GMR AERO‑led Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) has launched Family@DEL, a comprehensive initiative designed to make domestic departures more comfortable and stress‑free for families. The programme simplifies every stage of the journey at India’s busiest airport with services tailored to the needs of families, enhancing the overall passenger experience.

Under Family@DEL, families can access dedicated terminal entry gates, exclusive check‑in counters, priority security lanes, and designated seating areas at food courts offering curated kids’ menus. Buggy assistance is available up to the boarding gates, ensuring smooth movement from the forecourt to departure.

Travellers with infants, elderly passengers, and those with restricted mobility (PRMs) benefit from complimentary baby strollers, private baby care rooms, PRM‑friendly washrooms, and specially trained “family assistance buddies” to guide them throughout their journey.

Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, CEO of DIAL, said: “Family@DEL reflects our commitment to creating a more inclusive and caring airport experience. We recognise the unique needs of families and have designed this initiative to ensure their journey through Delhi International Airport is comfortable, seamless, and reassuring.”

The facility is now operational across Terminals 1, 2, and 3, featuring dedicated entry gates, priority security zones, and family‑friendly amenities that make Delhi Airport the first in India to introduce a holistic family‑centric travel programme.

In July last year, DIAL launched ‘DEL Vibes’, an experiential initiative that celebrates India’s artistic heritage and helps ease stress and anxiety among first‑time flyers by creating an engaging, calming atmosphere.
