Areva T&D India said its transmission business, now a part of Alstom Grid, has bagged a Rs 400-crore contract from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam to design and build a 765-kV turnkey substation at Anta near Kota. The scope of this contract also includes a long-term maintenance contract for the substation. This substation would improve power transfer capacity and reliability of the electrical network through power transmission from several generation plants located in the state, according to a company statement.
