The order covers 23 high‑capacity 160 MVA, 220/66 kV power transformers, each fitted with advanced fire prevention and extinguishing systems, along with optional spares.
Atlanta Electricals Ltd, the Gujarat‑based leading manufacturer of power transformers, has secured an order worth around ₹2.85 billion from Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited (PSTCL) for the supply of high‑capacity power transformers.
According to the letter of award received from PSTCL, the order involves the supply of 23 units of 160 MVA, 220/66 kV power transformers, each equipped with nitrogen injection fire prevention and extinguishing systems (NIFPES) and optional spares.
Speaking after the announcement, Niral Patel, Chairman & Managing Director of Atlanta Electricals, said: “Our longstanding association with PSTCL is proof of our ability to consistently meet technical and operational requirements, and this order will further strengthen our presence in the state while supporting capacity utilisation across our manufacturing facilities.”
Atlanta Electricals commenced its association with PSTCL in 2018 and has since supplied approximately 200 transformers, with an aggregate installed capacity of around 5,000 MVA across Punjab. This latest order consolidates the company’s position in a strategically important market and underscores its role in strengthening transmission infrastructure in northern India.
