Kochi’s road curve eased at Poojarivalavu
In Kochi city on the Seaport-Airport Road, the Roads and Bridges Corporation, Kerala (RBDCK) is set to inaugurate a four-lane 250 metre stretch in the area. Explaining the work carried out on the road, RBDC-K Managing Director APM Muhammed Haneesh said that it was not a straightening of the curve, but carried out the work of easing the curve.

Rangarajan panel suggests doubling of gas price
C Rangarajan headed panel, was tasked to suggest design of future contracts for exploration and production of oil and gas. Rangarajan is the Prime MinisterÂ’s Economic Advisory Council Chairman. The committee is believed to have suggested a complex pricing formula that will lead to near-doubling of the natural gas price to about $8 (Rs 439).
Ministry to vet MDL’s tie-up with private firms
Mumbai-based defence shipyard Mazagon Dock (MDL) plans to enter into alliance with Pipavav Shipyard, Larsen and Toubro and ABG Shipyard to construct warships. Odisha-based Paradip Port Trust (PPT) plans to raise its cargo handling capacity from 80 million metric tonne to 143 million metric tonne by the year 2015 and to 252 million metric tonne by 2020 through a host of capacity expansion projects, the port said in its website.
