Ramky's JV for waste to energy projects
Ramky Enviro Engineers along with Chinese company Chongqing Sanfeng Environmental Industry Group plans to address the waste to energy project market in India through a joint venture (JV). This venture is aimed at expanding the scope of the work to be handled together, according to M Gautham Reddy, Director, Ramky Group. Land Search For IOC Project
Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) is said to be searching a site for its proposed 15 million tonne refinery on the west coast. The company has reportedly approached Adani Group and Shapoorji Pallonji Group for land for the Rs 30,000 crore project. The refinery is to come up by the 13th five year plan and the firm plans to raise its refining capacity to 100 million tonnes by 2021-22.
Bihar Road Projects
In the last seven years, Bihar has built a total of 15,052.57 km of roads in the state and now one can travel from any district headquarters to the state capital within six hours except for far flung Kishanganj district. Bihar Chief Minister said that 35 km of roads are built everyday in the state.
Kolkata Airport Metro Delay
Change in design and delay on the part of Railway Board to approve cost escalation, may affect the implementation schedule of the proposed Airport-New Garia Metro link in Kolkata. Originally estimated to cost Rs 3,951 crore, the project is already one year behind the scheduled deadline of 2015.
Rajasthan Road Project
For Rajasthan, the Union Government is likely to approve a Rs 4,355-crore project for construction of 1,300 km roads, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, CP Joshi, said. The construction of 1,869-km long roads in the state was completed at a cost of Rs 12,000 crore and work on an additional 1,243-km is underway, he said at a function in Jaipur.
