In Ahmedabad, heavy rainfall has dented many a road, making commuting a challenging and risky affair. However, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) does not seem quite eager to deal with the problem of potholes. The whopping Rs 700 crore that AMC has spent on roads has done little to provide safe and pothole-free roads to Amdavadis. Lack of quality control measures and supervision seems to be the reason behind this menace.

Chandigarh may have new road to ease congestion
In Chandigarh, the increasing traffic on roads has compelled the UT Administration to mull over alternative routes to reduce congestion. To improve connectivity between the Chandigarh Railway Station and the Airport, the UT Administration has proposed a new road connecting the two destinations. Nagaland road stretch on NH 29 to shut for BRO work
