In Uttarakhand, the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) is striving to rebuild the roads in flood affected areas. BRO is continuing with its efforts of opening the road network in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. BRO has pressed in to service about 130 excavators and bulldozers. Despite bad weather BRO has kept open both the main axis i.e. Rishikesh to Uttarkashi and Rishikesh - Joshimath Ćā Govindghat in Uttarakhand.

Manipur govt mulls to widen all key roads in state
The Manipur government has sent a proposal to the Union government for upgradation of Jiribam-Churachandpur Road and widen all important roads in the state, the State Works Minister Kh Ratankumar said. The Minister was speaking as chief guest at a foundation laying ceremony for an RCC Bridge which is to be constructed over Khuga River to connect Lamjangphai and Thingchom in Churachandpur district on June 6.
Rohtak to get Rs 1,500 cr rail, road projects
Road and rail projects worth Rs 1,500 crore will be launched in Haryana's Rohtak Parliament constituency on July 28, Rohtak MP Deependar Hooda said on July 7. The railway line from Hansi to Rohtak via Meham and four-laning of the Hisar-Delhi national highway would be completed soon, the MP said.
Thirumangalam flyover in Chennai to open in 3 months
In Chennai, completion of the Thirumangalam flyover is further delayed. It was to be opened by April, but now it has a new deadline for completion Ćā September. Work was delayed by land acquisition and lack of cooperation between government agencies. The flyover on Inner Ring Road will go over the junction of Anna Nagar 2nd Avenue and Mogappair Road, and will speed up travel for commuters from Koyambedu, Ambattur, Red Hills and Avadi.
Construction of bridges starts on Manali-Leh road
Maintenance of the Manali-Leh border road is important from the defence point of view and it will be complete up to Sarchu till 2018. He added that BRO had been making this border road, a double-laned road as well as had been carrying out the metalling of the road for the past several years.
