The villagers of Mundra taluk had challenged the construction of a 9-km-long road.

Govt hopeful to award big highway projects soon
The Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Oscar Fernandes has said that he expects road projects worth over Rs 1 lakh crore, which have been stuck for long, are to start moving from next month as a concrete decision on the rescheduling of premium paid by developers is expected by the end of this December.
Road developers not keen despite govt’s initiatives
IndiaÂ’s highway construction policy has reached a dead end in meeting the targeted 20 km of road a day. This has been indicated as the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has drawn a blank in auctions of road stretches this year.
Concessionaire told to restore destination signages on NH-8
The maintenance and repair of National Highways is a continuous processes and being maintained in the traffic worthy condition within available recourses. However, the condition of Gurgaon –Kotputali-Jaipur section of NH-8 was bad particularly during monsoon. At present this section is maintained by NHAI through concessionaire as per provision of concession agreement.
Volunteers clean Madurai roads, plant saplings
A 250-group volunteers, led by Parvai Foundation, came together to clean-up Madurai roads on December 18. The group, including students, is also active in afforestation drive across Madurai district and also planted saplings alongside the roads.

Kaithal-Ambala national highway would be four-laned at a cost of Rs 728 crore. The State Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala said on December 15 that this 90-km-long national highway would benefit three districts of Ambala, Kaithal and Kurukshetra.
