The Delhi High Court has asked Delhi Development Authority to apprise the court of the Chandni Chowk development plan authenticated by the Urban Development Ministry. The Government of Delhi has informed the court that a proposal to make main road in Chandni Chowk free from motorised traffic is approved. The tram service will be introduced for the 1.6-km stretch between Red Fort and Fatehpuri Masjid to restore the glory of walled city.
