Madhya Pradesh Government has chalked out an action plan to generate energy from waste in Rewa and Satna Municipal Corporations and Nagar Panchayat. Collected waste will be disposed of scientifically. Besides, organic fertilisers will also be made using waste.
For this, 50 acre barren land has been selected at village Bandha on the outskirts of Rampur Baghelan in Satna district to set up the energy-from-waste plant. On the initiative of Energy Minister Rajendra Shukla, urban development and environment department is finalising this cluster-based project. Minister Shukla said this plant will make the state self-reliant in energy sector. He informed that feasibility reports regarding cluster-based projects for waste management are being chalked out with consultants of MPUIT for waste disposal.
