In Manipur, expansion of inter-village roads (IVRs) and district roads passing through Andro Assembly Constituency has kick-started from March 2 under the supervision local MLA Th Shyamkumar. It is said that all IVRs would be expanded up to 20 feet and district roads passing through the Assembly segment up to 60 feet. The road expansion has been taken up in view of the population growth.
Speaking to mediapersons Shyamkumar said that the IVRs and district roads are being expanded as per the wish of people without waiting for sanction from the government. He also appealed to the Government to include the road expansion work in the concerned departments’ work programmes. Later, the MLA inspected the water supply scheme being implemented at Yairipok Top Chingtha.
