More than two years after it was hit by cyclones, Gopalpur Port in Odisha has resumed operations. Located between Paradip and Visakhapatnam, the port welcomed its maiden shipment after re-commissioning, inaugurated by Odisha´s Commerce and Transport Minister Ramesh Chandra Majhi. The port commenced commercial operations in April 2013 but was interrupted due to two cyclones in quick succession.
