The Union government is expecting to complete the road work, taken up under the Golden Quadrilateral (GQ) projects, by December 2012.Work on four-laning and six-laning of roads has been completed in 5,829 km in the country.The work progress is being monitored closely by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and striving to speed up the work.
