IL&FS Investment Managers Ltd (ILFS IML), the private equity arm of IL&FS, will raise about $1 billion (Rs 6,000 crore) from primarily overseas investors to invest in roads, ports, power and real estate developers besides other companies as it exhausts funds raised in the three verticals. The company has started discussions with its overseas investors and could complete the fund raising by December from pension and endowment funds.
