All set to stake claims to become world’s second largest rail network.
Currently, there are 15 functioning metro rail systems in India with more than 800 km of operating metro lines. India is all set to add more than 1,000 km or metro rail connectivity by 2028, and thereby, stake claims to become the second largest metro rail network in the world.
