The Union Environment Ministry has announced new guidelines to create eco-sensitive zones (ESZs) around protected areas. The new ESZ guidelines will ensure that these areas act as ÃĒâŽÅshock absorbersÃĒâŽÂ to the protected areas by regulating and managing the activities around such areas.
