Areas around tourist hotspots- Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple, Tirupparankundram and Gandhi Museum- feature in the development list provided people who tick their priorities at the voting booths spread across the city. Also in the list are residential areas such as Vandiyur and places along the banks of the Vaigai, with a specific reference to the space near the Puttuthoppu Sivan Temple.
