The Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) stated that the construction of airport near Shirdi may be completed by this year-end. The airport is coming up at Kakadi village, 14 km from the temple town, for which the construction began in 2010. A top MADC official said that while the construction of the runway was over, that of the terminal building is in progress.
